You’ve all heard the horror stories, perhaps your family has been one of those horror stories, in which parental rights were attempted to be usurped by government. HSLDA, Homeschool Legal Defense Association, is there to help protect our rights as homeschooling families. I have been a proud member of HSLDA for most of my homeschooling career. Thankfully I’ve never had to call upon their services, but I feel secure knowing they are there if I need them. You may be thinking, I don’t need HSLDA my state is good to homeschoolers, and you may be right. But please, get to know HSLDA and consider joining as your membership helps support those who do need help. Plus HSLDA isn’t just about the law, they offer great services like new-homeschooler advice, supplemental resources, high school consultants and support groups. Join me in welcoming HSLDA!
