The 2:1 Conference is an amazing experience because of the wonderful encouragement shared during the event.
Keynote speakers, break out speakers, sponsors, attendees, dinner table conversations, and late night giggles make the conference wonderful. But we know there are more bloggers who homeschool and we want to reach them!
We want to bring you the same “conference sisterhood” right here from women who not only love the 2:1 community but also love to share a word of encouragement.
Please welcome the 2:1 Writing Team!
Most of us have had godly mentoring women in our lives. (if you haven’t we’re praying for you) We asked our writers to introduce themselves by sharing a female who has/is inspired them.
Amy, Gigi’s Place
My friend Connie. (her daughter and my daughters are friends, thats actually how we met.) She is a mom of 8 ages 14 thru adulthood. She is such a strong woman of God. Patient, enduring and when she speaks, wisdom flows. I can only pray I can be half the mom she is.
Aurie, Our Good Family
My girls inspire me every single day to be the best mommy, best teacher, best example of a Godly wife that I can be.
Colleen, Raising Lifelong Learners
I am inspired by my friend Mary Ryan. A children’s author from my writing group, she’s in her 70s and still incredibly active. She kayaks, hikes, and travels the country to visit her 6 kids, their families, and her grandchildren’s families. Her family is strong — in faith, compassion, and loyalty — and they desperately love God and each other. She once had a book she wrote made into a “Disney Made-for-TV movie” and still writes and submits manuscripts today. If I”m half the wife, mom, and grandmother she is, I’ll be an amazing success.
The women of the church. NOT just one but all of those who live for real and forgive, love, serve, get feisty, endure long roads of ministry without acclaim or being published or speaking or even being heard beyond those walls, these women who have loved me and nurtured my heart and get where I am, I love their stories and their hearts.
Lisa, Looking at Life CreativLei
I am incredibly thankful for the legacy of women in the family I come from and have been influenced by a number of women in my local church bodies as well as historical godly woman, but there isn’t ‘one’ that I look to. Every woman I come in contact with helps shape my faith in some fashion.
Shannon, Pickles and Buddy
I am inspired by my 2nd cousin Debbie Hamilton. She’s just a wonderful example of a Christian woman and mom.
Sherri, From Our Front Porch Lookin In
My Mom is undoubtedly at the top of that list but at this time, as my family is growing, I am finding myself also wonderfully inspired by large family Mommas that willingly share their hearts, their struggles, and their victories with the world through books, television, and blogs.
Vicki, 7 Sisters Homeschool
Dr. Diane Langberg the chaplain of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Diane is well-known as a therapist and counselor to leaders. Her work is behind the scenes- healing work and with leaders, sometimes corrective work. She is one of those people who have a powerful but calming presence about them.
Look around friends – who has God placed in your path to inspire? To mentor?
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven”
Here we will share words of hope for: women, moms, sisters, BFF’s, IRL’s, and daughters of the King. The 2:1 Writers look forward to sharing their hearts, experiences, and God’s Word with you! Join us!
